The YWCA Union County 40-Hour Training program is offered multiple times per year and is designed for volunteers as well as professionals in the community that work or will work directly with victims of domestic violence. The next training will be held in May 2026. Click here for more details.
YWCA Union County staff will visit your community group, organization, or house of workshop to discuss domestic violence and our services. Presentations are generally one hour in length and can be geared toward the needs of your specific audience. One example is our Healthy Relationships presentation which is curated for tweens and teens and includes discourse on healthy friendships and dating relationships and how to get help for a friend who might be in trouble. Please email kscott@ywcaunioncounty.org with inquiries regarding community presentations.
Domestic Violence 101 is a day-long training course created to provide a more in-depth overview of domestic violence. This training is designed for community workers who may encounter victims of domestic violence in order to be better prepared to respond. Please email kscott@ywcaunioncounty.org with inquiries regarding Domestic Violence 101 trainings.
The Privilege for Sale activity helps participants investigate privilege by inviting them to identify what privileges they find personally important.
For more information on any of these trainings, view our Training Brochure, email kscott@ywcaunioncounty.org, or call (908) 355-1500.
